EU driving licences - conditions
Driver training & driving test
To obtain a driving licence, you:
- must sign up with an approved driving school.
- must pass a theory exam and a practical test organised by the CBR.
The minimum age at which you can obtain a driving licence is:
|Category A1 (up to 125 cc)||18 years|
|Category A2 (up to 35 kW cc)||20 years|
|Category A (over 35 kW cc)||22 years (if you do need have the A2 licence for a period of 2 years the mimum age is 24)|
|Category B (passenger cars)||17 years (will need a coach in car till 18)|
Fitness to drive
If you wish to renew an EU driving licence, you:
- do not need to undergo a medical check
- must undergo a medical check if the self-declaration indicates so.
