Statistical bodies

The National Statistics Office (NSO) is the executive arm of the Malta Statistics Authority. Its mission is to have statistical output that is timely, impartial, of a high quality and that is responsive to the country's needs and European requirements.

NSO's Annual Reports record the activities and projects of the organisation. Its Annual Report 2008 records the activities for the 15-month period from October 2007- December 2008.

Submitting statistics

NSO carries out a number of regular surveys by sending out questionnaires to businesses, individuals and households registered in Malta.  Confidentiality is observed with regard to all individual data requested by NSO.

It offers the facility of online submission of data with regard to some surveys, such as the INTRASTAT survey.
