If you are an EU national planning to settle in another EU country, be prepared for the social security systems, including health insurance, to be different from home.
Before going abroad, make sure that you are covered by your current health insurance, or take out insurance in the country where you are going to settle. What you have to do will depend on your personal situation, the length of your stay and the terms of your current health insurance.
