Numerous public and private organisations in France offer business support at local, regional, national and European level.

The help provided ranges from individual expertise through to assistance with project planning.

Private organisations

The Réseau Entreprendre business start-up network offers loans to new businesses.

           France Angels   is an association fostering contacts with business angels, i.e. wealthy benefactors with experience in a particular field.

           Love Money   is an association that provides information and help for businesses wishing to attract new shareholders. It offers business owners advice and puts them in touch with potential subscribers.

           France Initiative   supports and finances new businesses and business takeovers in France.

Public-private organisations

The chambers of commerce and industry (CCI) represent the interests of businesses and offer them financing tailored to particular projects.

The chambers of trades and crafts (CMA) support small businesses in the craft industry.

The chambers of agriculture provide help for agricultural and rural start-ups.

The Sémaphore® database lists available financial and technical help for businesses in France and in French overseas départements   and territories (DOM-TOMs ).

The observatory of business and economic development assistance brings together government sources of financial help for businesses.

Public organisations

Another useful reference source is the guide to finance and business start-up tools.

The council of            business leaders, management and accounting experts (CER) supports and guides businesses in their managerial, administrative, commercial and legal duties.

The business start-up agency (APCE) offers procedural guidance (factsheets, publications, etc.) for businesses.
