Citizen's Dialogue in Milan - The European Union at Expo 2015: working for a sustainable future

How sustainable can our future be? What is the EU role in promoting a safe and efficient use of natural resources? This Citizens' Dialogue will showcase how the EU takes up these challenges.

This dialogue takes place at the World Expo 2015 in Milan. The theme of the Expo, "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life", is of crucial importance for the European Union. EU policies on promoting quality food, ensuring food security and safety, and stimulating environmental sustainability are widely recognised and are worldwide.

The World Expo 2015 in Milan will provide an international platform for showcasing EU policies and reinforcing its position of global player – as of today more than 140 countries and international organisations have confirmed their presence, including 19 EU Member States.

EP President Schulz and HRVP Mogherini will animate this Citizen's Dialogue and engage in a debate with citizens, students and Expo visitors.
