EU cities and regions for a sustainable food policy. Local solutions for global challenges

The event is being organised by the European Committee of Regions in partnership with the Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI) and with the support of the European Commission in Milan. The seminar will discuss how EU cities and regions are shaping sustainable development in response to the growing challenges of food production and consumption.  This debate and the  COR'sResolution on sustainable food will form the basis of EU regions' and cities' contribution to the Milan Charter which consider access to clean food, water and energy as a fundamental human right. The event is organised to coincide with the Mayors Summit, promoted by the city of Milan, where the "Urban food policy pact" will be signed.
