Nutrition, Health and Food information: 'know what you eat'

On 3 July we had the pleasure to host the event "Nutrition, Health and Food information: 'know what you eat'" at our pavilion in Milan.

The conference, an international dialogue organised by the Directorate General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission, tackled the issues of sound strategies on nutrition, and promotion of better nutrition through food information.

Key international actors on nutrition strategy described their experiences on these interconnected topics and identified 'hot' issues and current challenges. They exchanged views on their visions for the future through a debate on current policies as well as engage with the public.

The main topics were:

- International dialogue on Nutrition and food information
- Food information to consumers and its impact on consumer behaviour
- Food information on allergens
- Innovation and future technological applications on nutrition and food information
