"Farmers don't just provide food: they mange the very environments on which the human kind survives, i.e. biodiversity, nature, life on earth. Moreover, they provide lots of services like pollination of plants, cleaning of water, etc. [...] This is one of the main challenges: to give farmers the right signals to both produce the food and also to produce what we call the ecosystem services that come from nature that farmers are managing."
