EU-Africa: Partnership in R&I as a Game Changer

For EXPO (18 October 2015) the International Cooperation Directorate of the DG Research and Innovation, European Commission, will organise a half-day session with an interactive round-table on EU-Africa research and innovation in support of food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture. The focus will be on the role of the EU-Africa policy dialogue, the role of the High Level Policy Dialogue (HLPD) and its Food Nutrition and Security (FNS) roadmap also in providing support to the empowerment of women and youth as game changers in the field. Best practices and lessons learned will be shared also by other key actors at international, regional and national level. The event will offer a unique platform for bringing together new ideas, innovative solutions and challenging opportunities where the role of the EU-Africa High Level Policy Dialogue (HLPD) can foster women and youth capacities as leader in changing the game in relation to international cooperation in the food and nutrition security.
