4th meeting of the EU Scientific Steering Committee for Expo

The EU Scientific Steering Committee for Expo, chaired by Franz Fischler, met on 11 December for the 4th time since its creation in March 2014. A major portion of the meeting was devoted to the final approval of the discussion document on "Global food and nutrition security and the role of research in the EU: a discussion paper." This document should not only be distributed among the EU institutions, relevant International Organisations and Ministries in the EU member states, however, a public consultation of the document will be launched on this website in the beginning of March. A Scientific Launch Event based on the 7 research challenges of the document will take place on 8 May at the Expo Conference Centre in Milan.
