The EU Pavilion’s scale model has started touring!

Next year’s World Expo Milano 2015 – themed “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” – is providing the perfect opportunity for the European Union to share our vision of a more sustainable world, highlighting our key role in working towards solving sustainability issues within a variety of diverse communities worldwide.

Introducing the EU Pavilion scale model! Visiting a number of stops on its journey, the EU Pavilion’s scale model will showcase its contemporary architectural design, whilst highlighting the importance of the EU’s leading role in maintaining food security, quality and safety.

The scale model tour has commenced in Brussels, visiting institutions and EU Directorate Generals’ premises, allowing a variety of audiences to experience the EU’s course of action in tackling the main issues of environmental sustainability and creating opportunities that encourage growth and development for LECDs.

The model will arrive in Italy in February, and stay for two weeks at the Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan (Rappresentanza EC e EP), before then taking a tour of the seven Milan Universities, Milan City Centre and Varese City Centre. The model will be on display, where the public will experience the EU pavilion’s scale model, whilst learning about its participation at Expo, and the theme of EU’s participation, “Growing Europe’s Future Together for a Better World”.

Finally, the scale model will be making its definitive visit just outside of Milano in Ispra, Italy; at Sylvia’s Lab at the Joint Research Centre (JRC). The lab features a key educational display through an interactive and entertaining format, giving visitors the chance to learn about innovative projects surrounding the Expo event itself.
