2. Duration of the quiz

The quiz will be available between 15 October 2018 at 9.00 CET– 28 October 2018 at 18.00 CET.

3. Eligibility for participating in the quiz

The quiz is running on Facebook. It is open to EU citizens and their family members over 18 years old. Non-EU nationals can only take part if they have legal residence in an EU Member State. See details in point 4 of Terms and Conditions.

Participants can only play once.

4. Playing the game

The game is accessible on Facebook. Participants need to reply to 4 questions by finding the correct answer out of 4 proposed options, then to a tie-breaker question. In the tie-breaker question participants are invited to make a numerical guess. The questions relate to the scope of the portal, i.e. EU rights that EU citizens and their families as well as businesses enjoy in the single market.

There is no time limit to answer a question or to complete the quiz.

5. Choosing the winners and prizes

After the game period is over, the organisers will create a shortlist of participants that replied to all 4 questions correctly sorted by how close their reply to the 5th question (numerical guess) falls to the correct answer. From these participants, the 3 whose reply to the 5th tie breaker question is the closest to the correct result will be awarded with a prize, provided that they comply with the eligibility criteria outlined under point 3.

In case players replied to all 4 questions correctly and even their numerical guess is equally close to the correct result, their ranking will be based on the date and time of submission of the answer (those that played earlier will be awarded with the prize).

Organisers will contact the winners by email. To be able to do so, participants will have to enter their real name and email address when launching the game. Providing a name and email address is not mandatory, however only those participants who provide these data can be chosen as winners.

If a winner hasn't provided the contact data, or doesn't reply to the organiser's email within 5 working days, or rejects the prize, the prize will be offered to the next player on the list. The Commission will check if the winners meet all the eligibility criteria outlined under point 3. If this is not the case, the next person on the shortlist will be chosen.

The winners will be awarded a prize that allows them to explore EU countries by rail:

1. prize: InterRail Global Pass for 2 persons (valid for 1 month, 2nd class)

2. prize: InterRail Global Pass for 2 persons (travel on 15 days within the period of 1 month, 2nd class)

3. prize: InterRail Global Pass for 2 persons (travel on 7 days within the period of 1 month, 2nd class)

See details: http://www.interrail.eu/interrail-passes/global-pass

The selected winners will be asked to provide the organisers with some of their personal data and those of their selected travel companion in order to be able to purchase the Interrail Passes. The requested data and the privacy statement can be found here: https://www.interrail.eu/en/terms-and-conditions/privacy-and-cookie-statement).

The prizes cannot be exchanged and cannot be transferred to a third person.

The second person travelling must be over 18 years old; otherwise the written consent of the parents/legal guardians is required.

6. Acceptance of game rules

By playing the quiz, participants agree to be bound by the rules of the game (detailed in this document) and by Facebook's legal terms (https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms).
