Wednesday, October 7, 2015 — Every year, around 100 million tonnes of food are wasted in the EU, which is harmful for both the environment and the economy. Recognising food technologies’ potential to contribute to the reduction of food waste, the European Commission has launched an awareness-raising video on food technology.

EXHIBITOR Magazine’s Expo 2015 Awards competition is inviting readers, Expo 2015 attendees, and world fair enthusiasts to cast their votes for the pavilion they believe is the most experiential and memorable representation of the Expo 2015 theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.”

On 29 September we have hosted, on the EU pavilion terrace, an important meeting organized by Rai – Radio Televisione Italiana. The most important radio hosts of Radio Rai, the public Italian radio, had a dinner on the terrace to present and celebrate the new show schedule for the upcoming months.

On 30 September the European Union pavilion held a networking dinner on the terrace. The most important local authorities from Milan and the Lombardy region were invited, along with many Commissioners General of Expo 2015 and representatives of the business community. From our terrace, our honourable guests could enjoy the best view on the "Tree of Life" show.
