On 9 May 2015 we will inaugurate our pavilion with an incredible day full of events! Come visit us to discover Europe as you’ve never experienced before. See below the full programme below:

10:30 - Official welcome of the European Union Delegation at the Expo Center with flag raising ceremony, European Union anthem and official speeches by the delegation

11:00/12:30 - “Citizens’ Dialogue” - in the Expo Auditorium

The President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz and High Representative/Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini will meet citizens, students and EXPO visitors to talk about the European Union, a sustainable future, and the role of Europe in the world

12:30/13:15 - European Union Parade

A parade will start from the auditorium at the end of the Citizens’ Dialogue along the Decumano and will end in front of the European Union pavilion

12:40/13:00 - Visit to European Union pavilion by delegation

• Doorstep statement
• Signing of the “Golden book”
• Photo opportunity
• Public opening of the EU pavilion

13:00/14:15 - Official visit of the Italian pavilion by European Union delegation, followed by official lunch

14:30/17:30 - Bread and Civilization / Alex and Sylvia’s Bake Off  – in the Expo Auditorium

Round table discussion about bread and civilisation with representatives from European Institutions, Italian authorities, Universities and bread Industry followed by live grand finale of the bread competition “The Golden Ear.”

20:30 - Concert by Orchestra La Verdi (Beethoven's 9th Symphony) – Auditorium, Largo Mahler, Milan
