Biodiversity, Innovation and Sustainability: European Territorial Cooperation projects at EXPO 2015

The EU and national level guidance on drafting the programming of European Investment and Structural Funds for the period 2014‐2020 brings more and more attention to the results of co‐funded operations.

They will have to clearly demonstrate their contribution to the size and quality of economic, social or environmental welfare of citizens. In line with this orientation, integrated planning and evaluation appear as key factors to improve effectiveness and performance of the use of funds. Emilia-Romagna Region, through its in-house agency Ervet spa, has conducted an experimental and innovative analysis on the results of European Territorial Cooperation projects implemented in Emilia-Romagna region. Some of these projects deal with the biodiversity, innovation and sustainability, which are the main topics of EXPO 2015.

European Territorial Cooperation for sustainability of the Mediterranean Adriatic an Ionian Area in different fields like agrofood, Energy environment energy thanks to innovation and technology and knowledge exchange and transfer.
