Enrolment
Dates of the enrolment campaign for any new school year starting in September will be displayed on the present website in February/March.
Enrolment is open to families with at least one parent who is an official or other servant of European Institutions and bodies in Luxembourg. All applications must be submitted on the eKidWeb platform with the required supporting documents .
In accordance with our admission rules, the application must be submitted at least three months before the expected date of entry. Applications that do not meet this deadline and/or submitted outside the enrolment campaign will be analysed by the responsible management service, based on the number of places available. Any new application will be treated according to the priorities for admission defined in article 3 of the CPE rules . Parents will receive a message confirming their child's enrolment or will be contacted to complete the child's file if necessary.
During the enrolment process, you can choose to enroll your child:
- For the school year, this choice includes the possibility of attendance during the school holidays of the European School;
- Only for the school holidays period of the European School ("Droit vacances").
Attendance
There are different types of attendance depending on whether your child is attending school or not.
If your child is not yet attending school, he/she will attend the CPE:
- full time (morning and afternoon with meals), OU
- half-time (morning with lunch or afternoon without lunch).
For the CPE Kirchberg, groups welcoming children not yet attending school have a very limited number of places. If the number of applications exceeds the number of places available, a waiting list will be established and handled based on the criteria defined in the implementing rules (Chapter VI).
For the CPE Bertrange/Mamer, the kindergarten section dedicated to preschool children is not open, however a request for enrolment can be made to the nursery currently attended by your child or to any other adapted structure.
If your child is attending in nursery or primary school, he/she will attend the CPE full time in the afternoons after school with lunch and/or snacks.
If your child is in secondary cycle, he/she will attend the CPE full time in the afternoons after school (without lunch).
Any enrolment to the CPE of a child attending school is considered as full time regardless of the number of days the child is actually present.
Please note:
The once-a-week attendance method provided for in the admission regulations is not possible at the moment, due to lack of availability of places.
Holiday right
The registration of your child in the so-called "Holiday Right" mode allows you to register him/her at the CPE during the school holidays of the European School*.
Enrolment during the holidays is not compulsory and will only be invoiced if you enroll your child during the enrolment period (communicated and reminded by e-mail).
It is only possible to switch from the "Holiday Right" attendance mode to "School Year” attendance once during the current school year, subject to availability of places.
* Please note that the European Schools' holidays may differ from those of other schools.
