The EU’s 50th birthday will be marked in Jordan with a concert celebrating centuries of common history, demonstrating the close cultural ties between Europe and Jordan.
Musicians from the EU and Jordan will offer a joint performance of European symphony and Arab contemporary music: a feast for music lovers.
The concert will be held, with the patronage of the Jordanian Royal family, on Tuesday 29 May at the ancient citadel of Amman, in the open air in front of Jupiter’s Temple and the UmayyadPalace. It will include a spectacular musical dialogue between 13 European soloists and promising young performers from Jordan’s national conservatory. The performance will feature the string section of the European Union chamber orchestra and members of Jordan’s national conservatory orchestra.
