European Film Festival in Mauritius

As part of the EU's 50th birthday celebrations, the EU office in Mauritius is organising the island's first ever European Film Festival.

Over four days in April, recent European productions will be showing in two cinemas. The organisers have chosen 13 titles from 9 EU countries, offering Mauritians a rare opportunity to see a variety of European films.

The festival is being organised in cooperation with the French and UK embassies and is advertised in the local media. For example, Mauritians' knowledge of the EU will be tested on a daily radio quiz, with festival tickets and t-shirts as prizes.
