EVS in Richebois 2017-2018

EVS in Richebois 2017-2018
Parcours le monde - Sud Est
Marseille, France
1 , OpenProject description
The “Centre Richebois” (http://www.centre-richebois.com/) is a training center hosting 150 adults (18-50 years old) with different disabilities and low qualifications, who became disabled workers after accidents and need to reintegrate the labor market after professional reorientation. The team is formed of about 40 employees (trainers, medical, logistic and administrative staff). The volunteer’s mission is to design and animate activities for interns living in the center. Interns have their official trainings and studies mainly in the morning, so activities planned by the volunteer should be afternoon and weekend’s activities. Examples of activities are: language course, computer course (how to use a computer!), physical activities or other topics the volunteer think can be useful and interesting for the adult public in their free time.
TranslateAccommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer does his EVS mission and lives in the same center, as well as he/she eats with interns and employees. The center gives him/her a room, mentorship, food, a car (when it is not used by other employees) and pocket money in exchange of his/her volunteering work.
TranslateTraining during the project
Arrival training, Half-way and Before departure training
TranslateVolunteer profile
We are looking for someone highly motivated, creative, enthusiastic and able to work as a member of a team with a high degree of autonomy. Timetables are fixed (breakfast, lunch, activities and dinner), but the volunteer is free not to be there during meals. The public and the center employees do not speak English, which means a quite high level of French will be needed. It is a perfect EVS for people wanting to work in the field of social work, professional inclusion and special education. The volunteer should have driving license!
