Liska is the only branch of Luzanky based outsidse of the city of Brno, it lies in small town of Bilovice nad Svitavou, at the beginning of protected nature area of Moravian Karst. The town is well connected with Brno by public transport (just 10 minutes by train to the centre of Brno). Liska offers wide range of activities for children and youth, focuses on thematic one-time events (one-day, afternoon etc) and workshops. Lesna is second biggest branch of organization Luzanky with more departments in the district Lesna and offers different types of leisure-time activities, educational programs for school and other events for public. From sport activities to language courses it offers wide range of activities for all age groups, from the pre-school children to elderly people. Volunteer will work mostly in Liska and approximetly quarter of this time he will help with regular activities in Lesna.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will live in a flat (private room, shared flat) in Brno. He/She will have lessons of Czech language and meetings with EVS coordinator and other volunteers – there will be group of other EVS volunteers, working in other branches of Luzanky in Brno. Volunteers have 2 days a week free + 2 days per month of vacation. They are provided with card for public transport, get pocket money and food allowance monthly.

Training during the project

Volunteer profile

The main tasks of the volunteer in Liska will be to cooperate on the one-time thematic events, bring own ideas for activities and events, assist in the afterschool club for children and leave his/her “own footprint” in the design of Liska. In Lesna he will help with their regular courses (sport activities, language courses…).If the volunteer is interested, he/she can cooperate also on organization of events for adults as film festival or exhibitions.
