Do your best for migrant children

project description

This is a short term EVS project approved by Turkish National Agency. we will host volunters for 59 days . As a youth centre we are organising learning activities for Syrian and Afgan Kids from Monday to Friday. We have a network of organisation in the city who are supporting syrian kids and families in their social and educational problems. As GEGED we are volunteer source for the network. The volunteers are teaching basic lessons and English to them, playing games and organising non formal activities, intercultural workshops, art-sport etc. see please


accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We have flats in the town centre rented for volunteers. And also our youth centre have two floors just for accomondation. There are kitchens, bedrooms, furniture and equipment as a normal house. The rooms are double or trible. We deliver food money and pocked money to volunteers so that they can eat out or cook together freely. We dont need local transprotation because we are in walking distance to everywhere.


training during the project

We train our volunteers about basic skills to work with kids and migrants. We provide lanugage clubs for volunteers to develop their Turkish-Arabic and English. Volunteers will also learn some non formal learning methods and youthpass process


volunteer profile

There is no gender issue in our works. Aged 18-30. who are interested in coming to Gaziantep-Turkey the real town for the migration crise after Syrian conflict. Dont worry we are in Turkey and we are in a safe city. search Gaziantep from internet before coming. Volunteers should be interested in working with kids 7-13 years old and young people also. language level is not a barrier. we need your motivation and interest in our activities. We are looking for volunteers from Romania, Portugal and Spain
