Project description

We offer 1 place from September and 1 place from October 2018 (duration of the project: 12 months) for volunteers from Programme countries and EECA countries. The volunteer will work in the Nursery School nr 30 in Gdynia. The institution has a long and reach tradition. Their main aim is to help healthy and disabled children in development process of the proper relations with the world, development of their identity and high self-esteem and also preparation to the primary school. The EVS volunteer has a possibility for free and gradual adjustment into the organization. The examples of the volunteers tasks are: -active participation during the whole working day, -suport to the disabled children in a group, -organizing plays with children, -proposing children free time activities -supervision of children’s work and behaviour -organizing some thematic activities with the supervision of the teacher like: showing own hobby or own country and culture -organizing games

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation: Volunteer will get accomodation in a double or triple room, together with other EVS volunteers in the house/flat rented by the coordinating organization. Pocket money: Volunteer will get 3 EUR per day of pocket money converted in PLN with the exchange rate according to the contract with the Polish National Agency of Erasmus + Programme. Local transport: The volunteer will get monthly ticket for buses in Gdynia.

Training during the project

Volunteer obligatory attends monthly meetings and evaluation meetings (3 times during the project) organized by the coordinating organization. Moreover volunteer volunteer takes part in On-arrival training and Mid-Term Meeting organized by Polish National Agency of Erasmus + Programme and for the evaluation process. Volunteer profile

The candidate for the volunteer should like children and catch easily contact with them. It is important that the person is open and cheerful, as children feel well in such company. We expect active and resourceful candidates. Extra advantage is if the volunteer is interested in pedagogy and is willing to exchange the opinions, methods and technics. It is welcome if the volunteer has basic English language skills and is willing to study Polish, which would help a lot in daily life of a volunteer and will enable him/her to be more involved into the organization’s life.
