European, German and Thuringian Culture in Erfurt

project description

As the State Centre for Political Education we want to make political education accessible to everyone in Thuringia through books and other print media, online offers and workshops. The project started in 2015, aiming to expand our intercultural European educational offer. The volunteer will develop his/her job in the areas of publications, events, and social media. This way, He / She will take care also about the design and layout of our publications, and the research of pictures embedded on them. The volunteer will equally work as customer adviser on presenting to the customers our current publications, and He / She will have to get in contact with authors for the planning of new projects. Indeed, He / She will have the possibility to plan and realize his / her own projects, in connection with the Centre’s objectives and interests. The applicant should be willing to learn and improve his / her knowledge of German in a short time.

accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will be provided with all relevant information about the LZT, Thuringia and Germany. The LZT will provide an apartment. He / She will receive a monthly income for food, transport and German lessons. Security, financial conditions and insurance are implemented, concluded and paid out according to the EVS Program.

training during the project

The candidate will develop his / her skills through the attendance to several presentations and events about political topics. He / She will attend to German courses at the University of Erfurt. Participation in EVS Seminars and evaluation procedures is ensured.
