Beschrijving van het project

We are currently on the hunt for volunteers for the School and Pre-School Complex nr.11 (ZSP 11) in Krakow, more specifically a Croatian volunteer for the Kindergarden and a Greek, Italian and Spanish volunteer for the Primary School. ZSP11 is a school with about 600 students between 3 -15 years old. As a volunteer, you will mainly assist the pupils and teachers in their daily activities such as English class, library, day care room, homework and school trips. There will also be opportunities to organise your own activities and workshops. You will thus be fully and actively involved in the daily school life. The working schedule is flexible and will be adapted to your interests. The volunteering activity is part of a bigger project called ‘Mobility for Solidarity’, hosting 13 volunteers in total. Its goal is to integrate the ZSP11 with the Special School Complex nr.11, a school complex for students with disabilities. For more information have a look at the project sheet linked below.

Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer

As a volunteer, you will receive food allowance and pocket money. The accommodation consists of a (usually) shared room (2 people per room) in a flat with other volunteers with a kitchen and bathroom. The flat is well connected to the city center by public transportation. You will also benefit from a subscription to the transportation network of busses and trams. Travel costs from and to the home country will be covered according to the limits of the Erasmus+ calculator.

Opleiding tijdens het project

All volunteers participate in two trainings by the National Agency where they will meet other ESC volunteers from other cities in Poland. The first one is the 5-day On-Arrival Training in Warsaw, the second is the Mid-Term Training in Toruń. Furthermore, you will receive a Polish language course in a small group by a professional teacher experienced in teaching Polish as a foreign language. Opportunities to practice Polish in e.g. tandem meetings will be provided by the coordinating organisation. Lastly, the coordinating organisation will organise additional workshops and meetings.

The most important thing for us - are interests of volunteers, their willingness to work and motivation. We would like to host volunteers who are open, empathic and kind, ready to learn Polish, ready to work with children and willingly take part in various activities during the day
