Project description

AIND is a non-profit association dedicated to providing training and integration activities for people with intellectual disabilities: Painting, theater, dance, crafts, sewing, cooking, literature workshop, press and communication, .... The objective of these activities is to promote the social integration of people with disabilities by enhancing their self-esteem and responsibility and thus facilitate the acquisition and development of new skills that increase their autonomy. The activities are mainly carried out in the afternoon, starting around 15 September and ending on 15 June, with the corresponding holiday periods (Christmas, Easter ...)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation in a shared apartment with more volunteers participating in other projects coordinated by Fundacion Paideia, in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain, The volunteer will receive money for food, transport and pocket money.

Volunteer profile

Some knowledge of the Spanish language. Flexible, open-minded and motivated. It’s preferable that the volunteer have a strong interest in people with disability.
