Project description

The Kinder- und Jugendhaus Schönberg is an institution of open child and youth work and an open all-day school. The work is based on a common pedagogical concept and a cooperation agreement between the municipality of Schönberg, the school authorities and the Schönberg schools. The aim is to support children, adolescents and young adults after school. Tasks for volunteers may include the participation in the organisation and implementation of events and programmes inside and outside. Volunteers get the opportunity to gain insight into the systems of open youth work, open all-day school and everyday school life in Germany and to experience and help shaping community-oriented work in a tourism-oriented rural community.
