Die Mediencooperative Steinfurt e. V. ist ein anerkannter Träger der Offenen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit (OKJA) nach §75 des Kinder- und Jugendhilfegesetzes und als gemeinnütziger Träger anerkannt (www.mediencooperative-steinfurt.de). Der Verein ist Mitglied im DER PARITÄTISCHE, dem Paritätischen Jugendwerk und der Landesgemeinschaft Medienarbeit. Mit insgesamt 30 Voll- und Teilzeitkräften werden mit sozialpädagogischem Kompetenzen und non-formalen Bildungsmethoden und -angeboten unterschiedliche Bereiche der Offenen Kinder-und Jugendarbeit gestaltet. Zugleich sind bisher zwei seiner Jugendzentren für den EFD akkreditiert (2011-DE-46 Jugendtreff Tecklenburg und 2012-DE-32 JZ Westerkappeln/Velpe). Seit der Gründung des Vereins im Jahr 1990, haben sich unserer Tätigkeitsbereiche in fünf Bereiche der non-formalen Bildung und Jugendhilfe entfaltet: Offene Kinder- und Jugendarbeit und Mobile Sozialarbeit, Soziokulturelle Seminare, Workshops, Kulturveranstaltungen, Kooperationen mit Schulen, Präventionsmaßnahmen und Schulungen, internationale Jugendarbeit (Jugendbegegnungen, EVS, Fachkräfteaustausch).The media Cooperative Steinfurt e. V. is a recognized sponsor of the Open Youth Work (OKJA) recognized by the Article 75 of the Child and Youth Welfare Act and as a public carrier (www.mediencooperative-steinfurt.de). The club is a member of DER PARITÄTISCHE (THE JOINT), the Joint Youth and the National Community media work. With a total of 30 full-time and part-time workers, there are designed, with special educational skills and non-formal education methods and offerings, different areas of the Open Child and Youth Work. At the same time, so far, two of these youth centres are accredited for the EVS (2011-EN-46 youth club Tecklenburg and 2012-EN-32 JZ Westerkappeln / Velpe).Since the founding of the association in the year 1990, our activities have developed in five areas of non-formal education and youth services: Open Youth Work and Mobile social work, socio-cultural seminars, workshops, cultural events, collaborations with schools, preventive measures and trainings, international Youth Work (Youth Exchanges, EVS, exchange of specialists).

    Professional Team: The responsible Social workers for the local EVS Hosting projects are qualified Tutors. Especially Mr. Wienke, head of youthcenter Tecklenburg, and Mrs Scherder, Head of youthcenter Westerkappeln, are Trainers for social skills and as well experts in handling difficult and socially deprived youngsters with social and emotional deficits. Generally the volunteer is always accompanied by at last one professional social worker. Accommodation: The volunteer is never allone - he/she stays in a flat with two other volunteers of district Steinfurt (2013-DE-69). An Ex-volunteer will be his/her personal buddy, which will help him with his daily duties. The volunteer will be accompanied from several Persons: - Mentor - Tutor - Buddy (Ex-volunteer; now Socialworker in the youthcenter) - Volunteers in his flat
