The Charity Foundation for Public Health "Angelus Moldova" is a non-governmental, non-political, not-for-profit organisation and was founded and legally registered at the Ministry of Justice (No. 1504) in 2000. The aim was to create a new system of medical-social assistance for incurable patients with cancer in advanced and terminal stages of the disease, as well as for their relatives.

In 2001, "Angelus Moldova" established the HOSPICE "Angelus" service, an inalienable part of the Foundation. HOSPICE "Angelus" is a palliative care service at home for patients with cancer in terminal stages. The Foundation "Angelus Moldova" is a member of the following national and international associations: Member of the National Association for Palliative Care (November 2001), Member of the European Association for Palliative Care in Eastern Europe (December 2001), Member of the Working Group for Palliative Care in Eastern Europe (January 2003).

Our vision is to ensure that every patient with advanced and incurable illnesses will benefit from palliative care services.

Our mission: Improving the quality of life of patients with incurable cancer and other terminal diseases in progressive and advanced stages, by offering qualitative palliative care services.
