Project description

The project aims to contribute towards the increasing media literacy of high school students in the spirit of promoting critial thinking and reasoning, tolerance and inclusion. It develops media competences that will allow them a critical reception of the media discourse, as well as a responsible presence in the public sphere, as "online content generators".

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

International travel, local transport, accommodation and utility fees, monthly communication costs, costs related to activities are covered directly by Association ACT. Monthly food allowance: 120 euro/month Pocket money: 90 euro/month

Training during the project

On-arrival training and Midterm Training will consist in meetings with trainers from Romania National Agency Upon arrival we will organize our most intensive preparation measure, a capacity building programme that addresses 5 main pillars: - Project Understanding and organizational integration - Youth work and non-formal methods training - Team building and team work development - Tools and project instruments understanding etc. Romanian lessons 2 times per/week

Volunteer profile

- Age range between 18 and 30 - Outgoing and communicative, can work with groups and has a good spirit of initiative - A medium level of English – this requirement will not be enforced very strictly, the ideas is for the level of English of the volunteer to be sufficient for day to day communication and to allow for the Romanian language lessons to be carried out - Has a solid motivation for his participation in the volunteering activity - Is interested in working with young people, organize and implement non-formal activities
