Activity description

The Association of Compagnons Bâtisseurs, aka CBB, is a non-profit, non-political youth organisation recognised by the French Community of Belgium. The organisation proposes different kinds of activities, mainly based on volunteering and non-formal education: local and international work camps, medium and long term voluntary service, week-end workcamps, leisure time activities for and with disabled people, youth exchanges and local and international trainings. The volunteer will be mainly involved in the promotion, preparation, implementation and follow-up of our voluntary projects (work camps, youth exchanges….). S/he will also work sometimes in partnership with other local youth and social organisations. As part of CBB team, we will expect from him/her to attend collective activities such as staff meeting, GA, team building day… LOOKING FOR TWO VOLUNTEERS

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

S/he will have his/her own room and will share the common spaces with other 6 ESC volunteers involved in other ESC projects in Marche-en-Famenne. Food: the volunteer will receive a budget and will take care of the meals by her/himself. Participation in the European Solidarity Corps is free of charge for the participant, except for exceptional contribution to travel costs. Free board and lodging + pocket money.

Training during the activity

On-arrival and mid-term trainings organized by French-speaking NA. Workcamp leader training might be a possibility. Great opportunity for training if the volunteer wants to get involved in our summer camp leader training!
