Project descriptionOur EVS project Volunteering For Inclusion is based on first-hand experiences, practical application of the theories, in a non-formal education setting. In essence the key elements of Youth Actions EVS project activities are as follows: - Community projects that are inclusion focused Youth Action run four weekly programmes, for local and regional young people, to focus on a range of community projects that promote inclusion. - Youth Ambassadors Project & Young Kids Project Working with young people aged 16+ (Ambassadors) and then with children aged 8 to 13 (Young Kids Club) to develop leadership skills to then champion key community issues, that ultimately promote inclusion and break down barriers through drama, theatre, music, sports and other engaging activities Tasks: preparation of sessions, liaison with external agencies, venue, shopping for resources
Accommodation, food and transport arrangementsAll volunteers will reside in Youth Action’s own comfortable accommodation; Gateway House. Each volunteer will have their own bedroom and all amenities (equipment, Wifi etc).
