Project descriptionWe offer one place from February 2019 (duration of the project: 12 months) for volunteer from European Union. We are ADAPA Foundation for adults with Autism and other developmental disorders. We work in area of education, rehabilitation, social care and therapy of people. We also try to broaden the society's knowledge on Autism Spectrum and other developmental disorders. The Foundation is a basis for the Occupational Therapy Workshops (OTW) that are lead in different workshops: applied art, everyday life, informatics, miscellaneous, printing and graphics, social communication, and social independence workshop. Therapy within the therapeutic groups is designed to train occupational and social skills of our participants in the most practical manner. Volunteer profileWe welcome anyone who would like to get acquainted with the Foundation's ideas or simply to help. However, we expect from our team an open mind, understanding, and tolerance for those who differ from the most. It is often necessary for them to be flexible, tolerant, and understanding. Anyone who would like to gain experience and knowledge in therapy for persons with Autism Spectrum and other developmental disorders should present a certain level of empathy to be able to lead this type of lifestyle.
