Independent cultural venue looking for a creative volunteer

Beschreibung der Tätigkeit

Video documentation of the events at A4. The participant will film performances and interviews with artists performing in A4. This also includes the post-production of the material. Then, the videos are uploaded to A4’s YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUUvnalhlLI_mcpzDYfJa_w) and Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com/A4.priestor.sucasnej.kultury/). Within this specialization, the participant will cooperate with local professional video makers. The participant should bring his/hers own computer with editing software. Other activities depend on mutual discussion and on individual preferences, background and profile of the volunteer. They can develop their own project (for example workshop, exhibition, blog, movie, etc). For more info: www.a4.sk

Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten

Expenses within the project are covered by the European Union. The volunteers will be housed in a shared apartment. Travel costs to and from Slovakia at the beginning and end of the project are covered. There are 2 bikes available for commuting around the city. The volunteers also receive a transport card for travelling within the city. The participants will receive €9 a day as pocket money and food money. This is around €270 a month. The volunteers will have Slovak language lessons to learn the basics.

Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit

1. On-arrival training during the project 2. Slovak classes once per week - 1 hour 3. Regular weekly meetings with the all A4 team members 4. Regular weekly meetings about particular topics and tasks with our experts (production, PR, management) 5. Regular weekly meetings with EVS coordinator 6. Any other needed support for developing your own competences and your own projects

Teilnehmerprofil

The participant has an interest in contemporary art, culture and society. Wants to be part of a creative team and learn how an independent cultural organisation works. In this context, they are working in a team and bring in pro-active energy. The participant is flexible: the work schedule depends on the program of events. We are looking for volunteers with a creative approach who will be dedicated and actively look for new tasks and activities. It is preferred that the participant has some creative skills in photography, web design and general knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
