Activity description

Come and restore an old and beautiful boarding school hidden in the Parisian region, in the Yvelines county, in the heart of the countryside and in harmony with nature! Continuing on from last year's workcamp, you will enhance this domain with your artist soul and your painter talents! You will refurbish a mural painting, take care of marble statues, and more generally restore the collective buildings, in order to endorse the school’s patrimony. You’ll be also able to come and relax with our weekly activities in the educational garden, in osmosis with the beautiful countryside. Finally, you will participate in the preparations of their major event, the school’s party, by creating and setting up the theatre play decorations of the kids, but also by writing a tale of the story of the school. Finally, you will have the opportunity to attend an exclusive rehearsal of the Demos Orchestra at the Philharmonie de Paris as part of a short getaway evening to the beautiful French capital.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You will sleep in a bed, in collective rooms. Remember to bring a shower towel and a sleeping bag! You will have access to showers and toilets. You will be helping the school chef with the preparation of the meals. You will be having lunch with the children in the canteen of the school. A washing machine will be at your disposal to do your laundry.

Participant profile

We are looking for motivated candidates interested in our project. Eager to share daily life with other participants. It is important that the volunteers can organise themselves well and take initiative.
