Solidarity - The Bedrock of a Community

Activity description

Call for volunteers who want to use their innovative ways of thinking with the aim to connect and support the community through communication and mutual support. It would be useful if the person has a basic knowledge of digital skills. The activities might include: working at the Info point, assisting in detecting the needs of the NGO’s, enhancing solidarity in their activities, and assisting them to raise their visibility in the local community. Main activities will be held as a part of community support, community events, and community radio.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Travel costs are covered by the hosting organization, as well as the public local transport. Volunteers will be accommodated in a spacious rented apartment, shared with other volunteers on the project. The compensation for the pocket money is 152 euro/month, while the food allowance is 160 euro/month.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will receive different types of support and learning training, such as: - Croatian language support - On-arrival training - Work support - Mentoring - Learning outcomes

Participant profile

Calls for volunteers interested to learn more about organizing various events (art, literature, multimedia) and workshops (their own or of somebody else from the community), getting people together and motivating young people to participate more in society. It requests basic knowledge of digital skills (using the internet, social media, taking photos). As for the community radio, we're looking for volunteers interested in media, who want to express their opinion about social issues important to them, and who have the ability to listen to other people.
