Supporting Academy of Urban Activism

Activity description

The ESC project of CISR e.V. offers the opportunity to gather various valuable non-formal and intercultural learning experiences. Within „Supporting Academy of Urban Activism“ volunteers can assist in the preparation, organization and follow-ups of: educational, capacity building, PR and social media activities, taking place in Eastern Europe and Berlin. E.g.: non-formal workshops, discussions, webinars, study trips, urban festivals and others. They are aimed at positive changes in urban and social life of big and small cities of project regions and participants. Volunteers are also encouraged to develop and implement own project ideas.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

CISR e.V. will assist volunteers with the accommodation. Each volunteer will have his/her/* own safe and comfortable room. Volunteers also receive pocket money, food allowance and local transport ticket (Zone AB for Berlin). The main working place will be the office of CISR e.V. in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will attend: Preparatory Meeting, On-Arrival-Training as well as Mid-Term-Meeting. These can be organised offline and online. In addition to it volunteers can also take part in educational activities within other projects of CISR e.V.

Participant profile

CISR e.V. invites for participation in the ESC project young people: 25 - 30 y/o. Volunteers are not expected to have any special qualifications or previous experience in order to take part in it. At the same time it is important for us, that ESC participants are motivated and ready to support the project "Academy of Urban Activism“, are open for the cooperation with diverse participants from Germany/EU and partner countries as well as willing to learn and try out new things.
