Activity description

The European Solidarity Corps will be a full-time activity for the participant, taking at least 30 and not more than 34 hours per week (including language and other training activities relating to the project). This activity covers the following fields: • Promote sport among young people in city of Bitola. • Participate in diverse sport activities organised by local sport clubs • Write articles • Take pictures • Create social media content • Explore sport opportunities for young people in the city and its surrounding • Create campaigns and workshops for young people

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will be accommodated in the premisses of ECE Bitola or in a shared apartment. Long term volunteers will have their own room, shared bathroom and kitchen. The accommodation will have internet access and its located 5 minutes to the city center. The volunteer will receive money for food. Local transport - Bitola is a small town and we will provide to the volunteers bicycle so they do not need to use public transportation. Since the air pollution is high in our city we want to promote the bicycle as a mean for local transport.

Training during the activity

ECE Bitola with the sending partner will organise pre-departure training for the volunteers that are already selected. The duration of the training is usually 3 hours, but sometimes will be needed to meet several times. On the training we share information about: ESC in general, intercultural learning, insurance, Youthpass certificate, conflict management, information about the project and what they should bring with them (if necessary) and information about the country. The volunteer is obliged to attend the courses organised by the National Agencies.

Participant profile

We are searching for motivated person interested in sport and sport activities. We want to involve person who want to gain more practical experience in non formal education, education through sport, social media, project management, to learn more about the Erasmus+ opportunities and how they can use it to develop their competences. For the participants involved in the activities is not required to have high school or university degree. The profile of the young people we would like to involve is participants aged 18 - 30 years old.
