Volunteer for European education projects

Activity description

We are the non-profit association "Europe and Education". Our goal is to promote innovation and internationalization, digitization, Europe, development, and sustainability. Our missions are: 1. Promoting cooperation in the educational system and between educational actors with relevant stakeholders. 2. Supporting Europeanization in education system. 3. Supporting innovation processes in education system and thereby make it fit for the future and the demands of today. 4. Enabling educators to actively shape change processes triggered by digitization and globalization. 5. Supporting disadvantaged people. Our association offers a wide range of activities related to our missions. Therefore, a volunteer has many opportunities to acquire new (informal) qualifications, such as basics of project management, knowledge of EU programmes and funding, education policies, skills in communication and media work.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

A single room in student’s dormitory will be provided for the volunteer. According to the guidelines published by the Austrian National Agency, money for self-supply for a volunteer in Austria is 250 €/month, pocket money is 150€/month. The volunteer will be provided with a with a monthly ticket for public transport in Graz.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will participate in On Arrival Training and Mid Term Training organized by the Austrian National Agency. Introduction to our work and technical support will be ongoing provided in our organisation. The volunteer will be able to take German course and use Online Linguistic Support to learn the German language.

Participant profile

SEND A CV WITH MOTIVATION LETTER IN ENGLISH OR GERMAN WITH A SUBJECT "European education" TO: euinfo@logo.at. Volunteer should be interested in the internationalization/Europeanization of the education system and international Cooperation. S/he should be interested in advising and engaging schools / teachers / pupils. A volunteer should be motivated, cosmopolitan, curious and be committed. It would be helpful if the volunteer have skills of media or graphic design, but this is not a must. More info: www.logo.at/hosting and www.europa-bildung.eu.
