Project descriptionThe French Organization - Youth Information Center is searching for 1 volunteer who would like to join our European Solidarity Corps project “Montauban connecting young people” from 15 October 2020 to 15 June 2021 (8 months) in Montauban 50 kilometres north of Toulouse in the Occitanie region in southern France. The city of Montauban wishes to develop information and raise young people's awareness of international mobility. Aims:- promote European Mobility for young people in Montauban,- discuss topics in relation with the European Union - in daily life and during special events- give to Montauban’s youngsters the opportunity to exchange with the volunteer on their lives/culture The proposed activities:- organize event about Europe + about the volunteer's country, -organize documentation/media/event... - the volunteers will take part in different events and fairs to promote European Solidarity Corps and the Erasmus+ program. - encourage local youngsters to go abroad
Accommodation, food and transport arrangementsAccommodation: The volunteer will live in a shared accommodation where he/she have their own room. The flat will be located not far from the activities place. The accommodation costs are covered. Allowance: Each month volunteer’s receive a total of 250 € pocket and food money. Transport: The transportation from home country to France and back will be covered according to the distance calculator of Erasmus+ program: https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/resources/distance-calculator_en The local transport: a bicycle will be provided. Training during the projectLanguage support: The volunteer will have access to the Online Language Support to learn French. Volunteer’s training cycle: The volunteer will have an on-arrival and mid-term training provided by the French National Agency. Internal trainings possible (violence prevention, non-formal learning, etc.) General support: The volunteer will have a mentor to help with any issue and support the learning process. Every 2 weeks a meeting with all the volunteers and coordinators will take place to evaluate the progress of the volunteering projects, to set goals, socialize and discover new location.
Volunteer profileThe volunteer is expected to have a strong interest in the question of Europe, to be motivated to work with young people. For this project we would like to receive people willing to learn from different cultures.
