Activity description

At ICNM volunteers get insights into the organization and implementation, the communication and planning of an international project and the strategic execution of events. The ICNM – International Center for New Media (www.icnm.net) – is a non-profit association, specialized in networking throughout Europe and all over the world. ICNM focuses on the use of digital technologies, social entrepreneurship and creative content (“Digital Creativity improving Society”). It also offers educational programs to young people. ICNM stands out with its special emphasis on the evaluation, promotion and showcasing of best practice in digital projects improving society. Since 2012 ICNM conducts the “European Youth Award (EYA)” - the only European-wide (59 eligible countries) competition for young people and social entrepreneurs using Internet and Mobile to improve society and address the goals defined by the EU strategy Europe 2020, the Council of Europe and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

A local standard accommodation is provided. Receives food money monthly from the host organization. Local transport is provided by the host organization.

Participant profile

According to their interests and abilities volunteers will be asked to support the team by writing emails, organizing press clippings, update the contact database and marketing materials, a.s.o. He/She should also be willing and able to travel and have fun working hands-on at events. Most of the volunteers’ work will be office-related.
