Rapatac Activitycenter

Popis činnosti

Rapatac has been creating activities for children and youth during twenty years. Supporting children and youth with schoolwork is of major importance at Rapatac. The activity center therefore has one area that focuses on support in homework and reading for all children. The center offers activities in the areas technology, culture and media, physical activity, environment and sustainability, music, social activities and so much more. It is a place where children and young people can develop their skills toghether with Rapatacs staff and volunteers. The centers welcomes children in the ages 6-18 years old and this is the perfect place for you as a volunteer to develop your skills in leadership and communication and to be a good rolemodel.

Ubytování, stravování, doprava

Rapatac has two Activitycenters, one in Gävle and one in Sandviken. Rapatac will place the selected volunteers in one of the Activitycent3ers. The volunteer will live in a fully furnished apartment close to the activitycenter together with other volunteers in the project. Local transport in Sandviken/Gävle and flight-tickets to and from the volunteers homecountry is arranged by Rapatac. Pocketmoney is paid with 5 Euro per day. On top of that, the volunteer will be given money for food-costs. The money will be paid to the volunteer on a monthly basis.

Odborná příprava během činnosti

On arrival training and mid-term training wil be arranges in the capital Stockholm from the Swedish National Agency. Rapatac staff will together with the volunteer have discussions, meeting in group and individualy and follow-ups regualy to make sure that the volunteer feel happy and developes in its activities.

Most important is that you like working with children! We expect you to lead child activities with support from mentors. Volunteers with competence in dance Science/technology/programming Music/media Physical activities/Outdoor skills We value capacities as Social skills Liability Flexibility Patience Experienced work with children is meritorious. You can't use any kind of tobacco. If you enjoy being part of childrens development, doing good for the community and at the same time practice your personal development, then this is the right voluntary service for you.
