The Yusuf Youth Initiative is a dynamic organisation nurturing leaders of tomorrow and providing enriching programmes that encourage young people to grow, strive and become change makers in a vibrant and changing society. YYI has a number of youth projects and works with young people aged 5-25 years. We offer local opportunities, with primary support aimed at but not limited to BME youth, who are our majority service users. We are looking to expand our services within the wider community by reaching out to schools and other organisations. This is a great opportunity for someone to build on their design & social media skills. Day to day duties will include: •Helping us with marketing ideas and event planning • Researching and advertising opportunities • Creating marketing media • Help to grow our online presence Creating videos and animation Update social media • Replying to enquiries • Assisting with any other office duties as necessary.

Accommodation will be provided, this will be a private bedroom with a shared living area. Each week, you will receive a subsistence allowance of £75 which will be paid directly into your UK bank account this covers food allowances. If you do not already have a UK bank account, you will be helped to set one up when you arrive for your placement.

Koulutus hankkeen aikana

You will gain an introduction to the office environment, general administrative skills and marketing experience, and improve your time management and organisational skills. You will gain an insight into working for a small charity organisation and the various community projects that run within it, and how they reach out to different groups and support them. There may also be a chance to attend events. You will undergo a volunteer induction process and obtain a free PVG disclosure check.
