Mojo de Caña Association

Activity description

Mojo de Caña was founded in 2001, in Santa Brigida municipality (Gran Canaria Island,Spain). Association is consisted of people that are in love with activism, oriented toward social development projects and inclusion; using arts, nonformal education, human rights based education as a motor for social change. Tasks will combine office and internet research tasks ewith field work and idrect contact with local community ( from answering emails, to developing a concepts, campaigns,presentations, educational summer camps, festivals ,EU projects etc.) . Her/his creativity, and eagerness to contribute, will be essential, also personal ideas and input of the volunteer will be highly appreciated. Konaklama, yemek ve yol ayarlamaları

Volunteers will share flat with other volunteers/local youth in urban areas of the island. Usually Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and/or Santa Brigida. All cost about travel, food, local transport, healthy insurance all covered by organization under the European Solidarity Corps framework.

Training during the activity

About trainings during this project we want give opportunity to volunteers to participate in: - Predeparture Training: Training course related with necesarry issues developed by partner entity from volunteer contry. - Arrivel Training: Upon arrival Mojo de Caña will provide a volunteer with basic training to promote his/her inclusion in local community, to know tasks, activities and context. -Arrival Training/MidTerm evaluation : National Agency use to provide especific arrival training with other volunteers in Canary Islands
