Project descriptionServizio Civile Internazionale is the Italian branch of Service Civil International network (SCI), international voluntary movement present in more than 80 countries around the world. For almost 100 years it’s been promoting international voluntary projects on the themes of peace and disarmament, conscientious objection, human rights and international solidarity, sustainable lifestyles, social inclusion and active citizenship, non formal education. We are currently looking for 2 volunteer to join our national secretariat for a 1-year ESC volunteering project starting from December 2019. Project activities: - contribute to and support public events organization about active citizenship, freedom of movement, sustainable lifestyles, non-violence etc. - support creation and dissemination of activities/campaigns; - take part to trainings for students, volunteers and coordinators; - support the placement process and keep contact with volunteers and coordinators
Accommodation, food and transport arrangementsThe accommodation is provided for volunteers in La Città dell'Utopia, an independent apartment comprising three double bedrooms, common areas for socializing, kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry service and wi-fi connection.
Training during the projectIn addition to the opportunities offered by NA within the project framework, the volunteers will have the opportunities to participate in trainings and seminars of project cycle management, global citizenship, group coordination and social inclusion. They will be followed by the tutor in each step of the activity, from the introduction to after the end, with a continuous monitoring. They will have the chance to improve hard and soft skills, to work a live in a multicultural context, to learn more about volunteering world, basics of group and project management, Ngo and volunteering world.
Volunteer profilePreferable profile: - have basic command of Italian; - be able to work in a team; - have good communication skills and motivation to cooperate with colleagues and SCI Italia’s activists; - have good educational and social skills, to be able to work with several target groups; - motivated to learn and share knowledge and skills; - have basic computer skills (Ubuntu or Microsoft Office, email, internet); - have a responsible attitude and take initiative towards her/his tasks.
