ADDICTED TO FREEDOM
ANMRF LOUIS PASTEUR CLUB VOLTIN BRAILA
Project descriptionThe EVS Project "Volunteering changes lives" implemented by ANMRF Louis Pasteur - Club Voltin, Braila and funded by the European Solidarity Corps program takes place in Braila, Romania, for a period of 9 months (18.03.2018-30.11.2019). We included 6 volunteers, we have 4, we need 2 more from EU countries. The main purpose of our project is to be a novelty solution, by using volunteering as an active learning pathway, thus making available to young detainees their own models of voluntary ESC youth. It targets the subconscious to facilitate the behavior of minors. Modeling occurs through the success of ESC volunteers to turn the detained minor through all proposed activities, from a passive receptor to one who actively assumes responsibility for their own change.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangementsvolunteers live in a big apartment with all utilities, they receive 250 euro monthly allowance and food money. Our organisation is reimbursing travel tickets.
Training during the projectIn order to accomplish the goals, we will offer volunteers: language training in Romanian, non-formal education training, photography, journalism, PC, communication, project writing, conflict mediation and negotiation, book writing. Once acquired, this knowledge will be applied in a Detention Center, where there are 152 inmates - the beneficiaries of the project. There will be debates on violence in schools and high schools, voluntary actions in partner institutions, multicultural nights, Treasure Hunt contest.
