ONLY ICYE APPLICATION FORMS ARE ACCEPTED: https://www.icye.dk/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Candidates-application-ESC-program-to-Denmark.pdf Fill out the application and send it to: esc.incoming@icye.dk The project is a living community for mentally handicapped situated in a small village 20 km from Aarhus with families and singles, who integrate themselves into the lives and rhythm of the handicapped – it is reverse integration where "normal" people integrate into the lives of handicapped. The living community consists of 3 houses with 26 mentally handicapped residents. The residents have different psychological and mental restrictions – some of them are also physically impaired, but all of them are able to walk. Currently there are three volunteers at Hertha. Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte

The volunteer will live in a shared apartment with other volunteers at the project. The village is located 20 km west from Aarhus - Denmark's 2nd largest city. Food will be provided to the volunteers. More information about the project can be found here: https://www.icye.dk/hertha-levefaellesskab/

Formação durante a atividade

The volunteer will take part in an on-arrival and mid-term training organised by the Danish National Agency. Furthermore, the volunteer will have the opportunity to participate in camps organised by Dansk ICYE, where the volunteer has the chance to meet other volunteers from all over the world.

Perfil do participante

non-smoker, punctual – the volunteer must show up on time to the agreed activities, tolerant, open, extrovert who can take part in our daily life with a positive attitude, calm personality, flexible and accepting of adjustments to plans since changes can occur with short warning. Driving license is of advantage. To play an instrument is relevant but not essential.
