#EUSolidarityCorps Photo Contest - Terms and Conditions

Take part in the European Solidarity Corps Contest and have a chance to win a European Solidarity Corps promotion kit. The central question of our contest in the sixth round is:

What is your magic European Solidarity Corps moment, when active, when working in disaster prevention and recovery?

Show us what you have explored and experienced during your European Solidarity Corps activity and you could be one of the lucky winners!

How does it work?

The contest will run on a monthly basis. The fourth round is open from 1st May to 31st  May 2019.

To take part in the contest, just follow these 5 easy steps:

       1. Go to https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity_en

       2. Login with your European Solidarity Corps credentials

       3. Upload up to five pictures. Each photo should be of minimum 600 dpi resolution.

       4. Make sure that you have the consent of all the people in the photo

       5. Give a brief explanation on the picture, why it represents your magic moment in disaster prevention and recovery

Please note that we are looking for photos to represent ideals, values and the true spirit of the European Solidarity Corps (check the European Solidarity Corps mission and principles below).

Your photo(s) will be displayed in the public gallery immediately following your submission. The European Solidarity Corps team reserves the right to moderate the contributions and remove any submission considered inappropriate without prior and further notice.

If your photo(s) meet(s) the above mentioned criteria, you could become one of the #EUSolidarityCorps contest monthly winners!

How will the winners be selected?

The contest is open to anybody creative and inspired by the European Solidarity Corps aged 18 to 31 and registered on the European Solidarity Corps Portal.

A professional jury including photography and social media experts will select the five winning photos. The most visually original and creative will win.

Up to five lucky winners will be chosen each month, which means you could be the winner for December 2018, January 2019, February 2019, March 2019, April 2019, May 2019 etc.!

The monthly winner(s) will be contacted by the European Solidarity Corps team by email, which is managing the prizes for this contest on behalf of the European Commission. Participants should keep an eye on their incoming emails and make sure they reply within seven working days to the emails sent by the team. With no reply from them, another participant will be chosen as a winner. The name of the winner(s) of each round will be announced in the month following the respective round on some or all of the following social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

What are the prizes?

Up to five monthly winners will receive a European Solidarity Corps promotion kit. In addition, a single picture of the month will be selected as the winner of the month.
