"The Future is Heritage" summit: call for proposals
In the framework of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018, "The Future is Heritage" summit will take place in Berlin, Germany from 19th – 22nd of June 2018, as an additional event to the European Cultural Heritage summit "Sharing Heritage, Sharing Values".
Cultural heritage connects people across generations, and it is a crucial factor in shaping an inclusive, healthy and participatory society. The aim of this summit is to bring together young people from all over Europe to exchange views on heritage.
We are looking from proposals from students, young professionals or volunteers aged 18-30 who are currently working with heritage and who have a project they want to share with others.
The summit will offer a highly interactive programme, showcasing current cultural heritage projects in Europe and new approaches to cultural heritage. It will promote public awareness of European cultural heritage, thus advancing support and ownership. On individual level, the summit will contribute to the professional development of the participants, through creating joint learning and shared experiences, both peer-to-peer and intergenerational.
The summit is an initiative of the provinces of Noord-Brabant, Gelderland, Overijssel and the Dutch Centre for Intangible Heritage (KIEN), developed in cooperation with Europa Nostra and the host of the Berlin Summit.
