If you are between 18 and 30 years old, with good English skills and a citizen or resident in an EU Member State, you have a chance of interacting with high-level European politicians and professional journalists during this three-days media workshop. This year's edition will focus on the topics of media literacy and the rise of populism.
Each participant will produce a report on the topic of the seminar through video, photo, radio, print, multimedia or new media.
If you are a working journalist the European Parliament will reimburse up to 360 Euros to travel cost, if you are a student or intern it goes up to 180 euros. In case you live in Brussels no costs are covered. If you are from an EU neighbouring country you will receive up to 250 euros in travel cost and up to 200 in accommodation and meals costs. Each young journalist needs to arrange their own accomodation and travel.

On the 10th anniversary of the event, all participants can win the European Youth Media Days Jubilee Award. Entrants can submit by the 2nd October 2017 (23:59 CET) their work to the following categories:
- Print article (3,000 characters max.) on the rise of populism;
- Photography (5 pictures max.) on the rise of populism;
- Audio (3 minutes max.) on the rise of populism;
- Video (5 minutes max.) on the rise of populism;
- Essay (4,500 characters max.) on media literacy and critical thinking.
