European Voluntary Service (EVS)

This programme is aimed at young people from 17 to 30. No specific qualification of linguistic skills are required. If you are motivated, go for it!

The European Voluntary Service is an opportunity to live a solidarity experience and to gain skills which will add value to your profile and facilitate your professional inclusion. You will commit yourself to a full-time activity in a social, sportive, cultural or environmental field. As volunteer, you will help a non-profit organisation to achieve its goal. This programme is based on a collaboration between a volunteer, a sending organisation and a hosting organisation.

  • Short-term EVS: between 2 weeks and 2 months (for young people with less opportunities)
  • Long-term EVS: between 6 and 12 months (for all young people)

Is it free

You will receive free accommodation, food, insurance, linguistic support and pocket money from the Erasmus+ programme.

To apply, you should...

  • Contact a sending organisation in your region, which will help you with the procedure

  • Consult the EVS vacancies on the database

  • Send your applications (CV and cover letter) in response to the offers you have found

  • Then, the hosting organisation will select their EVS volunteers

  • Once you will be selected, you will have to meet your sending organisation to deal with the last papers

  • After that, you can pask your luggage and get ready to go!

At the end of your EVS period, you will receive a Youthpass certificate confirming your participation and describing your project.
